How dents disappear without paint

Paintless dent repair works the metal itself: specialized tools reach behind the panel and massage the dent out gradually, restoring the original contour without fillers, sanding, or repainting. Because the factory paint never breaks, there is nothing to color-match and no repaint to age differently than the rest of the car.

It is the right technique for door dings, parking lot dents, and minor creases where the paint is intact. It preserves originality, which matters for both resale and anything collectible.

Every dent is its own job

Size, depth, location on the panel, and access behind it all determine the work, which is why PDR is quoted after inspection rather than off a menu. Send photos through the form or bring the vehicle by, and we will tell you honestly whether PDR is the right fix and what it will cost.

Dents with cracked or chipped paint, or damage on a body line, may need conventional bodywork instead; if that is the case we will say so rather than force the technique.

Door dings, hail-type dents, and shallow creases where the paint is unbroken and the back of the panel is reachable. Sharp dents on body lines or damage with cracked paint usually need traditional repair.
On a good PDR candidate, the repair typically restores the panel contour so the eye no longer catches it. We tell you what result to expect at inspection, before you commit.
